What is the problem?

Gutter or downpipe broken, missing, loose or fallen

Which gutter or downpipe is it?

How high is the building? Is it more than two storeys?

Which parts are affected, for example, the bracket, stop end or hopperhead?

What shape of guttering or pipe is it, for example, half-round, square or ogee? Check the drawings.

Is it made of plastic or metal? Is more than one length affected?

Is any part likely to fall? If it has fallen, is it broken?

Is the gutter or downpipe blocked?

How high is it? Is it more than two storeys?

Gutter or downpipe leaking

Which gutter or downpipe is it? If it is a wastepipe or soilstack, see Drains and wastepipes.

Where is the gully?

Is it clogged up? Have you tried clearing it yourself? You should try clearing leaves and so on from gullies before calling us.

Is it round or square?

Does the gully have a brick or concrete surround?
