What is the problem?

Drain or wastepipe smelling or blocked

Is the smell coming from inside or outside?

If inside, do you think there is a blockage? See Wastepipe blocked below.

If outside, have you tried clearing any blocked gullies? You should try clearing leaves from gullies before calling us.

What is causing the blockage? We will charge you if you have caused the blockage. Have you tried to clear it yourself? See Clearing a blocked waste or toilet.

Is the bath, basin, sink or shower blocked? Do not use it until it is fixed. If a toilet is blocked, is it the only one in your home?

Do you know what has caused the blockage? We will charge you if you have caused the blockage. Have you tried to clear it yourself? See Clearing a blocked waste or toilet.

Wastepipe leaking

Is it the bath, basin, sink or shower wastepipe? You are responsible for leaks or blockages from your washing machine or dishwasher.

Is the problem a leaking joint or cracked pipe?

Can you contain the leak?

Gully grid broken or missing

Where is the gully?

Is the gully grid made of metal or plastic? Is it round or square?

Does the gully have a brick or concrete surround?

Inspection cover or frame loose, damaged or missing

Is the cover outside or inside the property boundary? If inside the property boundary, is it loose or damaged? Is it actually missing? If so, contact us immediately. Also, please try and fence it off to prevent an accident.
