Baths, basins and sinks

To report a repair:

What is the problem?

Water leaking

Where is the water coming from? If it is from a pipe or tap, see Pipes, taps and water.

Wastepipe leaking

Is it the bath, basin, sink or shower?

What is the problem, for example, a leaking joint or a cracked pipe?

Can you contain the leak? Do not use it until it is fixed. You are responsible for repairing washing-machine adaptors.

Wastepipe blocked

What do you think is causing the blockage? We may charge you if you have caused the blockage.

If you are in a flat, are other flats affected?

Have you tried to clear this yourself? See Clearing a blocked waste or toilet.

Where is the blockage, for example, the bath, basin, sink or shower? Do not use it until it is fixed.

Tap dripping or faulty

Is it on the bath, basin or sink? What type of tap is it? Is it a hot or cold tap? What is the problem, for example, dripping, stuck on or off or the top has come off?

Bath cracked or damaged or a panel loose or broken

How did this happen? What is the extent of the damage? We may charge you for any damage you have caused. Is it the side or end panel? Is it loose or broken?

Basin loose, cracked or damaged

How did this happen? Where is the basin? Is the basin made of plastic or porcelain?

Is it on wall brackets, on a pedestal or part of a unit? We may charge you for any damage you have caused.

Shower not working or damaged

What is the problem, for example, the head is loose or broken, the tray is cracked or broken, the water is too hot or too cold?

Is it an electric or mixer valve shower? What make is it?

Other problems with baths, basins, sinks or showers

What is the problem? Do you know what is causing it?

Is it causing any other problems or damage?
