We can cost new schemes, those currently in development, and could take on existing schemes, where local authority adoption has not been achieved.

Our public open space model

• As part of the GreenSquare housing group, Oakus utilises its extensive development experience to work with the landscape architect to cost-reduce plans and design-out future maintenance issues.
• As a result, Oakus can adopt the public open space for a significantly reduced commuted sum, compared to what local authorities may require.
• An estate rent charge would be applied to all the homes, irrespective of tenure (typically £100 in the first year).

Working with Oakus

We have entered into a contract to adopt the public open space for a 750-home development in Melksham, Wiltshire. An overarching agreement to adopt the public open space was put in place for the consortium of developers across the scheme. Oakus is actively looking for further opportunities to work with developers and adopt public open space on other schemes.
